A Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, David H. Lifschutz, MD, FAPA, attended the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI, and received his medical degree in 1968. Furthermore, he conducted his psychiatry residency at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA (1968-1972). In addition, he completed his fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the same educational venue in Los Angeles, CA (1972-1973). Dr. Lifschutz received board certification in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He remains active in the psychiatry field as a member of the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology, the American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry, and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Moreover, is licensed to practice medicine in New York and California, and has received seven years of training as a psychoanalyst at the NYU Postdoctoral Program for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.
